A few reminders for your web resources

Web Resource Resources

How to find a web server

How to create your web resource

  • First, focus on the content.  Make sure you have everything the syllabus specifies.
  • Then, there are many tools you can use including MS Word, MS Publisher, MS Expression Web, and many others (check Download.com ).
  • Depending on the web server you chose, your publishing routine will vary.

REMEMBER...

  • Your web resource should be a one-stop introduction to the technology, vendors, products, reviews, implementation examples, and business benefits of your chosen technology.  Be thorough!
  • You must add your own original analysis and prose.  This is NOT just a list of links and copied information.  In your own words you need to write material such as (but not limited to)...
    1. What is the business problem this technology solves?
    2. What firms find this technology useful?
    3. What are the challenges that this technology introduces?
    4. If one were to implement this technology, what issues do they need to be aware of?
    5. How would you compare the vendors of this technology?
    6. What are the important product attributes?
  • Focus on substance, not style!
